Cookie Policy
This page explains exactly what cookies and local storage we use on nidoro.co and why.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website owners.
In addition to cookies, we also use browser local storage — a similar mechanism that stores data locally on your device without an expiration date unless explicitly cleared.
The Nidoro iOS app does not use browser cookies. This policy applies only to nidoro.co.
2. Necessary Storage (Always Active)
These are required for the website to function correctly and cannot be disabled.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| nidoro_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent preferences | Local Storage | Until cleared |
3. Analytics Cookies (Optional)
With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve the experience. PostHog may set the following cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_* | PostHog analytics — identifies anonymous user sessions and tracks feature usage events | Cookie / Local Storage | 1 year |
| posthog_session | Tracks the current browsing session for analytics grouping | Session Cookie | Session |
PostHog analytics data is anonymized and is not linked to your Nidoro account. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
4. Marketing Cookies (Optional)
We may use marketing cookies in the future to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Currently, no marketing cookies are set. When enabled, this section will be updated with a full list.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services embedded on nidoro.co may set their own cookies independent of our preferences system. These include:
- Vercel — Our hosting provider may set performance and security cookies
- RevenueCat — If you access subscription management pages, RevenueCat may set session cookies
We have no control over third-party cookies. Please review the respective privacy policies of these providers.
6. How to Manage Your Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Cookie banner: Use the "Manage Preferences" button in the banner at the bottom of this page to toggle analytics and marketing cookies
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their privacy settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect site functionality
